To our valued customers and partners:

Meridian Adhesives Group is continuing to closely follow the unfolding COVID-19 outbreak. We are dedicated to remaining a trusted supplier during this unsteady market. Thursday, March 19, California officials announced an order for citizens to shelter at home. At this time, all Meridian Adhesives Group manufacturing sites fall under the chemical manufacturing sector definition, including our sites located in California, and as such will continue operations under the Cyber and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) guidance as for essential critical infrastructure work.

As this is an ever-evolving situation, we will be carefully tracking our supply for any possible material shortages or interruptions related to COVID-19 and the new California regulations. At this time, we have not experienced any disruptions that are impacting our ability to maintain your supply. However, we will proactively connect with customers in the event we anticipate a supply disruption may affect our ability to deliver.

While fulfilling customer needs is at the forefront of our contingency planning in the midst of COVID-19, it is important to note that the welfare of our employees and customers is paramount. We have taken additional steps to ensure we are carefully adhering to CDC guidelines in our manufacturing sites and headquarters. We have created guidelines for our employees to minimize potential exposure, and we are carefully planning ahead for any possible disruptions due to the virus.

Thank you for your trust in us as we navigate this situation together.

Daniel Pelton, CEO

COVID-19 Announcement

As COVID-19 continues to impact the global community, we want to update you on the steps we have taken to protect business continuity for all our partners. It goes without saying that, while ensuring the success of our partners is a primary focus, the health and safety of our employees, customers, partners and their families are paramount.

Based on the guidance from the World Health Organization, we have reinforced our daily operations with specific steps to account for COVID-19.

  1. We are closely following guidelines set by the CDC to mitigate risk to our employees and customers.
  2. We are advising against international travel at this time, and encouraging any necessary domestic travel be done responsibly.
  3. We have asked all employees to take recommended precautions to prevent exposing themselves to a possible infection and also to help stop the spread of the pandemic – any employee that has remote suspicion that they may be infected has been advised to remain at home and seek medical attention.
  4. We have instructed employees to leverage technology at our disposal and conduct internal and external meetings virtually as much as possible.
  5. We are working to move all internal and external events, such as marketing conferences, trainings, customer presentations, etc. to virtual platforms. Customers requiring in-person assistance will continue to receive it, as we realize our customers are also trying to continue servicing their own clients in the face of this temporary obstacle.

We appreciate your trust in our teams, and we will continue to provide you with the level of support that you have come to expect from our Meridian platform.

T. J. Bland Promoted to President of Adhesives Technology Corporation

Hart McIntyre transitions to consulting role with parent Meridian Adhesives Group

POMPANO BEACH, Fla. (Feb. 6, 2020) – Adhesives Technology Corporation (ATC), a leading manufacturer of construction and industry-related adhesives, recently announced the promotion of T.J. Bland to president. He replaces Hart McIntyre who will transition to a consulting role with ATC parent company Meridian Adhesives Group. Meridian Adhesives Group, LLC is owned by Arsenal Capital Partners and includes high-performance specialty manufacturers of epoxy, polyurethane and hybrid adhesives for the electronics, medical, construction and infrastructure markets.

Last year, Bland was elevated to general manager and chief operating officer and has grown his responsibility with the company over the past six years. He is credited with leading the company’s design, engineering and manufacture of ULTRABOND® HS-1CC, the world’s strongest anchoring and doweling epoxy.

Prior to his appointment with ATC, Bland worked as Vice President of Research & Development at Stanley Black & Decker, Inc., where he was tasked with developing products that exceeded structural standards through design and testing excellence.

McIntyre acquired ATC in 1990 and grew it into a market leader. He now hands the company to Bland, who will oversee all aspects of the business.

“After 30 years, this is the right time to make a shift in my career and enable T. J. Bland to take the lead at ATC,” said McIntyre. “He has an impressive set of skills, has proven himself to be a strong, innovative leader, and we expect great performance in the future.”

McIntyre leaves a notable legacy at ATC, which he described as a company with a “single five-horsepower mixer and six 55-gallon drums” when he acquired it. McIntyre built the company into an industry leader in industrial anchors and adhesives. He said he is most proud of the company’s consistent growth, typically doubling in size every five years, and its focus on product quality and integrity.

“We have always been easy to do business with, and while we are aggressive, we always operate in an honest and ethical manner,” said McIntyre. “We are arguably the strongest of the domestic adhesive companies, and our future is bright with T. J. Bland at the helm.”

ATC is a leading manufacturer of construction and industry related adhesives in epoxies, urethanes, acrylics, ester blends and polyureas. With more than 40 years of field proven experience, ATC manufactures some of the most recognized and most often specified products in North America.
